This wedding is by far one of my favorites of the last year. I always love working with Vanessa of Alchemy Fine Events, on top of being totally gorgeous and fun, her vision and designs are so inspiring! I have been pouring over these pictures by Luna Photo and love them all, so you’ll have to forgive the heavy photo post! There was just too much goodness throughout this day not to share!
From Vanessa of Alchemy Fine Events… For Jessica and Iyla’s wedding, we were inspired by their passion for art and design, as well as their heritage and the history behind the Bel Air Bay Club for this Old Hollywood-inspired wedding.

I am so utterly in love with everything about this shoot I don’t know where to begin! The colors? The creativity? The crew that made it happen? I guess I should start with Lindye Galloway, she’s an interior and event designer, and the creative genius who dreamed up this colorful and fun Kate Spade inspired shoot! Then there’s Jasmine Star, the photographer (and secret florist on the side!) behind these gorgeous shots. It was nearly impossible to narrow down pictures for this post because they’re ALL so insanely good! Add in the talents of Sweet & Saucy, Copper Willow, and LVL Events and its quite obvious why I was so honored to be included!
Now… about that creativity! And the color!! So much attention went into each detail emulating the bright and bold pops of color and sophisticated girlieness perfected by Kate Spade.

From Lindye Galloway Design…With spring in the air and summer fast approaching we put together a bold shoot that exudes color, layers of patterns, and plenty of design eye candy! Desiring a modern feel, the location for the shoot is in an art gallery that is the perfect blank canvas to build upon.First is the ceremony! A colorful striped runner rests between the sea of ghost chairs, leading up to the aisle and (drum roll for a unique twist) continues several feet up the wall for a dramatic effect.

The girls at Copper Willow blew us all away with these custom placemats made out of plexiglass! Each was unique, highlighting the menu with the guest’s name and darling silverware graphics.

Sweet & Saucy just nailed it with this adorable gray and white polka dot cake. And that bright aqua bow…Too cute!

One of my favorite things about the Chuck Jones Center by 24 Carrots is the endless white space that begs for creativity to fill it, yet can equally as beautifully serve as a stark white backdrop to focus attention on its objects, as it does here.

Tulips on fire!

Caroline Tran’s Propel Workshop Maternity Shoot with Lovely Jubilee Featured on On To Baby
I have long been a fan of Caroline Tran and love any opportunity to work with her! The team at Archive Rentals and I are always honored to to participate in the Propel Workshop, a hands-on mentoring workshop she hosts for photographers in Southern California. This sweet maternity shoot was part of a recent Propel Workshop at a private estate in Malibu and featured last month on On To Baby. The workshop sessions werre all designed and styled by none other than Wilmarose of Lovely Jubilee!
The expecting mom, Kym has both of her children’s birthdays tattooed on the back of her neck, and will soon add the third. She also has a tattoo that reads “more and more each day”, referring to her ever growing love for her babies. These intimate details, along with the beauty of the natural light, were captured remarkably by Caroline and the Propel attendees. To see all of the photos, be sure to visit the full gallery on On To Baby!

Krista Jon + Archive Rentals; Proud Sponsors of “A Night of Discovery with James Cameron” benefiting MUSE School

Krista Jon for Archive Rentals is proud to sponsor “A Night of Discovery with James Cameron,” a unique fundraising event organized to benefit MUSE School CA’s Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math (STEAM) Program. It will also be an experience of a lifetime, with the opportunity to meet James Cameron and see the vertically-deployed, bright green DEEPSEA CHALLENGER submarine he co-designed and piloted on his historic, 2012 solo dive to the deepest place on the planet, the Challenger Deep.
A small group of attendees will have the chance to view footage from Cameron’s dive almost seven miles deep–35, 787 feet–into the largely unexplored and alien deep-sea trench. They will also have the opportunity to sit inside the submarine’s simulator and experience firsthand what it was like for James Cameron during his almost seven-hour voyage. An organic gourmet dinner prepared by Celebrity Chef and Restaurateur Susan Feniger, with a special selection of vegan cuisine from her Hollywood, CA restaurant STREET, will round off this very special, one-of-a-kind event.
Located in beautiful Malibu Canyon between Malibu and Calabasas, California, MUSE School CA –founded by Suzy Amis Cameron and Rebecca Amis– is located on 22 breathtaking acres abutting the Santa Monica Mountain conservation lands. At MUSE School CA, every child is truly known and seen. ”MUSE School CA was established to inspire and prepare young people to live consciously with themselves, one another, and the planet. -Suzy Amis Cameron (Founder-MUSE School CA)”
Event Sponsors:
James and Suzy Cameron, the DEEPSEA CHALLENGE Team, Susan Feniger’s STREET, Krista Jon for Archive Rentals, Fotis and Son Imports, Earth Friendly Products, Donna Pu’u/Betty Belts – Ocean Inspired Accessories.
